Cambria Hotel Calabasas (2021)

The brief was to design a hotel located in Calabasas, for which we had to redesign and update the interiors. Within this project, I decided to rearrange and remove several bedrooms / suites to facilitate additional space, which i felt could deliver the hotel a feel of luxury, lift the market and fit the target audience. The location of the hotel was inspiring as it includes amazing vistas which was a great design element to focus on. Further, I was able to develop the branding and create a logo for this project.

Branding

Below is my logo for the Calabasas project.
The project was identified by the client as a 'home from home' which is why the main focus towards the branding is two houses into-connected. The sloping of 'V' shaped roof mimics the vision of the Malibu Canyon, in cooperation to the salmon colour palet being used which represents the canyon rock type, of which lied at the heart to where my interior design inspiration to the colour scheme started.

INTERIOR DESIGN SCHEME

Here you can see where my interior design originated from.

Below you can see my interior design proposals which are heavily focused on the bedroom suites, lobby and cafe bistro. However these colour pallets are presented throughout the hotel.

PLANS

I have coloured coded specific areas of my updated floor plans to clearly show what the spaces are used for and how they are divided.
